- SharpHog Southern Pine Beetle Computer Model
- (May/2007-May/2009)
- This project for the University of
Arkansas operating under grant provided by the U.S. Forest
Service was recently completed. A computer model of pine
beetle infestations originally written in 1979 had undergone
numerous translations of varying quality over the decades. I
created in C# an entirely equivalent model to the
original, only several orders more powerful.

- Necessary for the SharpHog model was the
normalization and standardization of decades of actual
field data from Southern Pine Beetle infestations in the
American Southeast.
